Windows 7  today officially has increased the marketshare over the Mac OS X. According to Internet company Net Applications:

 Windows 7 last weekend powered (on average) 5.07% of PCs

 Mac OS X last weekend powered around 5% of computers worldwide.

Since Windows’ overall market share is 92.64%, it’s obvious that this was bound to happen, and that Windows 7 will eventually go far beyond the 5% marker.

What else is interesting is that W7 is outselling Vista in the first month in sales. This will be growing at a 3.9% monthly average.
